23.1 Overview of DECwindows Motif Concepts
  This section introduces DECwindows Motif concepts.
  DECwindows Motif is an X Window System type of op-
  erating environment. DECwindows Motif is used on a
  workstation, where several windows can be displayed with
  different applications on each window.

  To program in the DECwindows Motif environment,
  DECwindows Motif bindings are used to help write pro-
  grams that create and manage the different resources needed
  to control the windowing environment.
